Black Hills, SD Company Helps Haiti Get Clean Water!

The horrible images of devastation keep coming in after a massive earthquake struck Haiti January 12th.One of the vital things lacking in this massive rescue and clean-up is clean drinking water. Even before the earthquake, clean water in Haiti wasn't common. A Black Hills Company is trying to change that.It sits in a Rapid City warehouse, in a few days, this piece of equipment will be in Haiti pumping out thousands of gallons of clean drinking water 24-hours a day. It's new technology that's come just in the nick of time. Matt Fallon, the VP of GenPro Power Systems says, When I first saw on the news this had happened I knew right away these were going to be headed there. There was no doubt in my mind this product would be well needed.

The Hill City Gathering Place and Mary Orum Jewett is indirectly part of this Haiti relief effort, as Mary was recently employed as CPA for this company.

Gathering Place People-Bonnie McCaskell's Story!
MY STORY

I grew up in eastern South Dakota with good parents and 4 siblings. I was the youngest for 10 years. We spent most of our time outdoors with family, farming and animals. We attended the Congregational Church and Sunday School every Sunday - the message I got (in church and at home) was BE GOOD OR ELSE! School was fairly easy for me, but socially I was always trying to fit in...and never really did. By High School, I was part of the party crowd. My parents were stricter than my friends' parents (now I know they cared more about me)...resulting in lots of deception (on my part) and tension between my parents and myself. I was very rebellious - looking back I see how incredibly naive and stupid I was - willing to throw away all my family's values. I went to college off and on, but my priorities were fun and making myself FEEL GOOD, and I strived diligently to accomplish them. I did manage to understand that some trouble with the law and a serious accident were wake-up calls from God, but they produced no lasting changes in my life. I met Larry - now there were two of us who just wanted to party and have a good time. I didn't want God to be God - I wanted to be God!

Spanish Truth Project Looking For Start Date!
El Proyecto La Verdad de Enfoque a la Familia es un programa de estudio basado en una serie de DVDs sobre la cosmovisión cristiana, específicamente diseñado y autorizado para usarse en grupos pequeños. El doctor Del Tackett, presidente del Instituto de Focus on the Family y Vice Presidente de nuestro ministerio, enseña cada "recorrido". Este programa de estudio también incluye a Ravi Zacharias, Os Guinness y R.C. Sproul, quienes son expertos en cosmovisión cristiana.
