Whether you are a Dad to be, a Dad already, or Grand Dad you can still grow and learn to help others to be the best Dads they can be. Our vision for the future is this program will build generations of Dads that have learned to be the best Dad they can be and start to turn around the problems below.
DO YOU KNOW our greatest threat today in this country is NOT an economic crisis, health care, or even terrorism. We are in a spiritual State of Emergency:
Of the 79 Million Children in the USA under the age of 18 years of age:
40% live in a home with no biological father
41% live in a home with a single parent or no parent
Men and the family are under attack in this country. This is a systemic problem and it applies to the Black Hills area as well.
The "National Fatherhood Initiative" www.fatherhood.org/pocketguide may provide us with one local answer to this problem. We at the Hill City Gathering Place want to build new relationships with young fathers through one of these programs. This could be a start on the
process of engaging these young men and growing them to be great dads and Godly men.
We propose to get our initial contact with these young men through Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City Carenet Inc. (Pregnancy Resource Center), Custer Star Academy, Box Elder Job Corps, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, local schools and churches.

Proposed Results in the next twelve months:
6 new facilitators
6 new locations/venues
50 dads X6 venues = 300 trained
25 dads enrolled in the second level of training (24/7 Dads)
Donor of $24,000.00 or twenty donors of 200.00 monthly would meet these needs.
